In Roboplant, you’re put in charge of every aspect of factory management, and this includes building construction. As your business grows, so will your factory and as you get further into the game, you’ll unlock various additional building features.

Your farm starts from the central hub. Your other rooms branch off from this, connected by corridors. You can structure the factory however you want and go crazy with your plans, but it’s worth thinking about how your workers will move through the map.

When building, first you’ll choose the size of the room you want. Then, once you place items into the room (machinery, furniture etc.), the room will be assigned as either a factory room, research lab, staff room or office and will be automatically decorated as such.

Once you choose the function of the room, it can only be used for that purpose. If you want to change how a room operates and place items of a different type, you’ll have to destroy everything in that room. You can destroy and rebuild your rooms as much as you want, but that doesn’t come for free, so keep an eye on your bank balance!

Unlocking access to bigger room designs means you’ll be able to place more machinery and furniture to make the place look unique. Each room is also vital to the successful running of your factory – for example, if you don’t give your staff a place to relax, they won’t be happy about it and you’ll have to deal with the backlash!

This is our last post before the festive season, but we’ll be back in the new year with some cool new stuff to show you!

For now, Merry Christmas from Rebelpug!
